The Classic Reuben.
The Perfect Pint of Guinness.
“Erin go Bragh!”
The Curragh Traditional Irish Pub has been serving communities in the Chicago suburbs for nearly 15 years. Successfully garnering a reputation for great food and true Irish hospitality, the pub remains a community favorite.
History
The Curragh first opened its doors in 1999 and was located in Schaumburg, Ill. After several successful years of operation, it closed its doors in 2006 to make way for a major retail development. Located at 6705 N. Northwest Highway, the pub is now home to the people of Edison, Park, Ill. Other locations include Holland, Mich., Skokie, Ill., and just recently opened, Glenview, Ill.
The Pub Experience
Siblings and owners of the pub, Lydia and Paul Leongas joined chefs George Salvana and Hugo Rotando, in the development of the Irish menu. With a visit to the country itself and extensive research on Irish cuisine, the menu features items such as the Guinness Fish and Chips, The Classic Reuben, and Irish Bangers. The pub holds 18 draft beers and received the Guinness Gold Standard Award for the perfect pint in 2002. The Curragh hosts various pub-crawls and accommodates large party reservations. On the weekends, guests can enjoy live music entertainment.
